83-Year-Old Hiker Rescued After All-Night Search in Grand Canyon
Gerald Guinn, an 83-year-old experienced hiker from Kanab, Utah, was rescued after an all-night search in the Grand Canyon. Guinn went missing after he and his hiking companion separated during a hike to find a historic object. The search involved multiple agencies, including the National Park Service and local search and rescue teams, who used helicopters, drones, and search dogs to locate him. Guinn was found approximately 2.5 miles from his last known location, in good spirits but unable to walk due to the cold. Rescuers provided him with water and warm clothing before carrying him to safety.
