RIAT 2026 Cancelled Due to Base Access Issues Amid US Operations
The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) organizers have announced the cancellation of the 2026 event due to access issues at RAF Fairford, the event's traditional venue. The cancellation is attributed to ongoing US military operations against Iran, which have led to the base being heavily utilized by US Air Force bombers. The decision follows discussions with the Royal Air Force and the United States Air Force, highlighting the logistical challenges posed by the current geopolitical situation. Ticket holders are offered options for refunds, ticket rollovers to the 2027 event, or donations to the RAF Charitable Trust.
