Fire Damages The Thurman Cafe in German Village, No Injuries Reported
A fire broke out at The Thurman Cafe, a well-known establishment in German Village, Columbus, Ohio, on Sunday afternoon. The fire originated in the basement of the building located at 183 Thurman Ave. The Columbus Division of Fire responded promptly to the scene, finding active flames in the lower level. Although the fire was contained, the building sustained structural damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but fortunately, all staff members and patrons were evacuated safely. The Thurman Cafe, famous for its 'Thurmanator' burger, has been a staple in the Columbus dining scene since 1942.
