One Fatality, Four Injured in Head-On Collision in Ellsworth County, Kansas
One person has died and four others were injured in a head-on vehicle collision in Ellsworth County, Kansas. The accident occurred on Thursday afternoon, around 12:30 p.m., on K-156, just inside Ellsworth County. First responders from both Ellsworth County and Barton County were dispatched to the scene. The preliminary investigation indicates that a westbound car crossed the center line, resulting in a direct collision with an oncoming pickup truck. The impact caused the truck to roll over and subsequently catch fire. The driver of the car, identified as 72-year-old Debra Stovall from Beverly, was pronounced dead at the scene. The four occupants of the pickup truck were transported to a hospital, with two of them sustaining suspected serious injuries.
