Seaway7 Secures Contract for BC-Wind Offshore Project in Poland, Enhancing Polish Renewable Energy Goals
Seaway7, a subsidiary of Subsea7, has been awarded a significant contract by Ocean Winds for the BC-Wind offshore wind project located in the Baltic Sea, approximately 23 kilometers off the Polish coast. The project involves the transport and installation of 26 transition pieces and an offshore substation, with offshore activities expected to begin in 2027. The BC-Wind site will feature 26 wind turbine generators and, upon completion, will have a total capacity of up to 390 megawatts. This capacity is projected to supply clean electricity to nearly half a million households in Poland. Stuart Fitzgerald, CEO of Seaway7, expressed enthusiasm about contributing to Poland's offshore wind targets, marking this as the company's third contract in the Polish market.
