Tampa Police Seek Public Assistance in Family Dollar Armed Robbery Investigation
The Tampa Police Department (TPD) is requesting public assistance to identify a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a Family Dollar store located at 4900 N. 40th St. The incident occurred on a recent Sunday, where surveillance video captured the suspect entering the store and demanding money from an employee. After obtaining the money, the individual fled the scene, heading north. No injuries were reported during the robbery. Authorities have described the suspect as a tall Black man, weighing approximately 250 pounds, with his face partially covered. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black hoodie, blue pants, and black slides. TPD has released surveillance video footage in hopes that someone will recognize the suspect's build, clothing, or mannerisms. The investigation into this armed robbery is active and ongoing, and law enforcement is urging anyone with information to come forward.
