Gary Schools Launch Community Gardens Initiative to Foster Learning and Community Engagement
The Gary Community School Corporation has initiated a School & Community Gardens Initiative aimed at creating hands-on learning spaces across its district. This initiative is designed to provide students, families, and community members with opportunities to engage in gardening activities, fostering skills and relationships. The gardens will serve as living classrooms, promoting health, sustainability, and community involvement. The program includes partnerships with Master Gardeners and local organizations to offer guided lessons and workshops on gardening techniques.
