DSA Florida House Candidate Oliver Larkin Appears to Cut Interview Short Amid Israel Genocide Claim Fact-Check
Oliver Larkin, a Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) candidate running for Congress in Florida, reportedly ended a television interview prematurely when the host began fact-checking his assertion that Israel is committing genocide. During an appearance on 'This Week in South Florida,' Larkin, who is challenging Democratic Representative Jared Moskowitz, cited the United Nations, Amnesty International, and some Israeli human rights organizations to support his claim. However, host Glenna Milberg countered, stating that the UN's definition of genocide does not apply to what she described as a 'disproportionate wartime action' and that 'genocide is a very specific thing.' The interview concluded shortly after this exchange, with Milberg announcing that she was 'being told we have to wrap.' Larkin's campaign has not yet responded to inquiries regarding the interview's abrupt end. Larkin has been critical of Moskowitz's pro-Israel stance and his support from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
