Hearing Set for Grand Jury Transcripts in Nick Reiner Murder Case
A hearing has been scheduled for October 21 to address whether grand jury transcripts and exhibits in the murder case against Nick Reiner should be unsealed. Reiner, 33, is indicted on murder charges for the deaths of his parents, director Rob Reiner, 78, and photographer Michele Reiner, 70, who were found dead in their Brentwood residence on December 14, 2025. The charges include special circumstance allegations of multiple murders and murder while lying in wait, along with an allegation of personal knife use. Reiner pleaded not guilty and remains jailed without bail. The grand jury indictment, returned in July and unsealed in August, expedited the case by bypassing a public preliminary hearing.
