Ukraine Signs 10-Year Defense Deals with Gulf States for Joint Arms Production
Ukraine has entered into 10-year defense agreements with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, focusing on joint arms production and training. These deals involve Ukraine supplying weapons and defense technology to the Gulf countries, including systems designed to unblock the Strait of Hormuz. The agreements were announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky, who emphasized Ukraine's readiness to support Turkey with expertise, technology, and experience. The deals come amid tensions in the Middle East following U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran, which has led to Iran blocking vessels from crossing the Strait of Hormuz. The agreements are part of Ukraine's broader strategy to strengthen security cooperation and promote stability in Europe and the Middle East.
