World Bank Calls for $12 Billion Annual Investment to Transform Food Security into Economic Opportunity
The World Bank estimates that an annual investment of $12 billion is required to transform food security challenges into economic opportunities, particularly in the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan (MENAP) region. This initiative aims to address severe water scarcity and rising food demand, which is projected to increase by 67% by 2050.
