Prince William Public Libraries Launch 'Library of Things' and Makerspaces, Celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month
Prince William Public Libraries (PWPL) is celebrating Library Card Sign-up Month this September with new initiatives aimed at expanding community access to diverse resources. The libraries have launched a 'Library of Things,' a collection of borrowable items including tools, games, and musical instruments. Additionally, PWPL is expanding its makerspaces, which are independent workspaces offering machines, tools, and technology for exploration and creation. These makerspaces are currently available at Bull Run Library and Central Library, with a new one planned for Chinn Park in January 2027, and are designed for patrons aged 13 and older.
