Inkas Unveils M1 MRAP Vehicle with Enhanced Protection for NATO Operations
Canadian armoured vehicle manufacturer Inkas has introduced the M1 Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle, a next-generation platform designed to meet NATO standards for ballistic and blast protection. Officially unveiled at Milipol Paris 2025, the M1 MRAP is a result of a collaboration between Inkas and KNDS Mobility, formerly known as Texelis Defense. The vehicle features a V-shaped monocoque hull and a reinforced ballistic capsule, providing comprehensive protection against anti-tank mines, improvised explosive devices, and ballistic threats. It is equipped with a 375-horsepower engine and an Allison 3200SP transmission, accommodating up to 10 personnel. The M1 MRAP is modular, allowing for various mission profiles, including troop transport, command and control, reconnaissance, and medical evacuation. Optional features include a 360-degree situational awareness camera system and a remote-controlled weapon station.
