Arizona Residents Warned to Stay Indoors Due to Poor Air Quality
Residents in parts of Arizona, particularly Cochise County, have been advised to stay indoors due to poor air quality caused by strong winds blowing dust across the region. The National Weather Service, in collaboration with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, issued an Air Quality Alert warning of elevated levels of PM10 particles, which pose health risks, especially to sensitive groups such as the elderly, children, and individuals with heart or lung conditions. The alert recommends reducing outdoor physical activity and taking measures to keep indoor air clean, such as closing windows and using air purifiers.
