Fox Valley Communities Declare Emergencies Following Tornado, Implement Curfew and Boil-Water Order
Three communities in the Fox Valley area, including Menasha, Neenah, and the Village of Fox Crossing, have declared local states of emergency after a tornado and severe storms struck the region. The tornado, with winds reaching 124 miles per hour, caused significant damage, including downed trees and power lines. In response, local officials have issued a curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. and a boil-water order for affected areas. Emergency shelters have been opened for residents, and the Winnebago County Emergency Operations Center has been activated to coordinate the response. Residents are advised to stay off the roads to allow emergency services to address the damage.
