I-65 Reopens to Louisville Traffic Ahead of Schedule Amid Ongoing Construction
Interstate 65 in Louisville, Kentucky, has reopened to traffic three days ahead of schedule after nearly two months of construction closures. The reopening is part of the $150 million Interstate 65 Central Corridor Project, which aims to replace aging overpass bridges. Although the lanes have reopened, the project is not yet complete, with work expected to continue until mid-2027. The reopening includes several ramps, but some remain closed. Governor Andy Beshear praised the public's adaptability during the construction period, which minimized disruptions.
