PeaceHealth Oregon Appoints Heather Wall as New Chief Executive Following Jim McGovern's Termination
PeaceHealth Oregon has officially named Heather Wall as its new chief executive for the Oregon region. Wall had been serving in an interim capacity since May, when her predecessor, Jim McGovern, was terminated during a period described as tumultuous for the healthcare provider. In her new permanent role, Wall will oversee hospital services across Lane County, which includes facilities such as Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield, Peace Harbor Medical Center in Florence, and Cottage Grove Community Medical Center, along with various clinics and specialty services. Wall, an Oregon native, brings a background in nursing, having earned her degree at Lane Community College and a Master of Science in Nursing, Leadership and Management from Walden University. PeaceHealth's announcement praised Wall for her 'strong focus on patient care, relationship-building ability and a combination of compassion and accountability.'
