In Portland, Oregon, a tragic incident occurred early Saturday morning when a vehicle crashed into the Multnomah Athletic Club, resulting in one fatality. The crash, which happened around 3 a.m., led to a fire that was subsequently contained by authorities. Upon investigation, police discovered explosive devices, some of which had detonated, inside the vehicle. The Multnomah Athletic Club, known as the largest private athletic and social club in the U.S., was closed at the time of the incident, and no club members or staff were injured. The Portland Police Bureau Chief, Bob Day, described the event as isolated, and further details were limited during a news conference.
