Ohio Department of Agriculture Launches Ohio Wine Month Celebration
The Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) and the Ohio Grape Industries Committee (OGIC) have initiated a month-long celebration of Ohio Wine Month. The event, held at the Ohio Statehouse, showcased Ohio Quality Wines and Double Gold Medal winners from the 2025 Ohio Wine Competition. This gathering brought together winery owners, grape growers, industry partners, and state leaders to honor the contributions of the Ohio wine industry. ODA Director Brian Baldridge highlighted the diverse range of wines and experiences offered by Ohio wineries, emphasizing their community roots and economic impact. Ohio, with over 430 licensed wineries, ranks as the seventh-largest wine-producing state in the U.S.
