Congressman Riley M. Moore Secures $1 Million Federal Funding for Watson Fire Station Renovation
Congressman Riley M. Moore has presented a $1 million check to City of Fairmont officials to support the renovation of the Watson Fire Station in West Virginia. This federal funding was secured through Congressman Moore's work on the House Appropriations Committee. The Watson Fire Station has served the Watson neighborhood, Fairmont State University, and the Fairmont Technology Park for nearly 50 years, providing essential fire and EMS services. However, the facility is aging and no longer meets the operational needs of the Fairmont Fire Department or the growing demands of the surrounding community. The allocated funds will facilitate the transformation of the outdated station into a modern, mission-ready facility.
