Montgomery Anti-Violence Program Deletes Online Presence Following Drug-Related Arrests of Affiliates
A community violence intervention (CVI) program in Montgomery, Alabama, funded by the city and county, has removed its website and purged social media photos after two individuals associated with the program were arrested on drug-related charges. Patrick O'Neal Perry, 32, was arrested by the Alabama Department of Corrections with 19 pounds of marijuana and $30,000 in cash. Perry had apparent ties to the CVI Program, frequently appearing on the social media page of 'Save our Streets -MGM' wearing group-associated shirts. Daniel Lamar Hatcher, also seemingly connected to the CVI Program and featured in social media posts, was arrested two weeks prior to Perry and charged with cocaine distribution. Following Hatcher's arrest, 'Save Our Streets -MGM' reportedly deleted numerous pictures, many featuring both Perry and Hatcher, and its website is no longer online.
