DeKalb Man Faces Multiple Charges After Geneva Traffic Stop
Austin Seeley Williams, a 20-year-old resident of DeKalb, was arrested in Geneva, Illinois, following a traffic stop that led to multiple weapons and drug charges. The incident occurred on May 25 when Geneva police stopped Williams for speeding. During the stop, officers detected the smell of cannabis and subsequently discovered THC cartridges and a suspected cannabis substance in the vehicle. A search of the car's trunk revealed a Glock 22 handgun modified to be fully automatic, along with a high-capacity drum magazine. Williams, who does not possess a valid Firearm Owner’s Identification card, faces charges including unlawful possession of a machine gun, aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon, and cannabis-related offenses.
