The Sudanese band Aswat Almadina has continued to create music despite the ongoing civil war in Sudan. The band members, now scattered across the globe, remain connected through their music, which has become a symbol of hope and resistance. The conflict began in April 2023, disrupting their work in Khartoum as gunfire echoed through the streets. Music played a significant role in the uprising against austerity measures introduced by former President Bashir, with the band's lyrics chanted during protests. Despite the challenges, the band collaborates remotely, working on a new song titled 'Sudan,' reflecting the country's beauty and pain.
