Selkirk Man Charged with Cocaine and Cannabis Possession Following Traffic Stop in Albany, N.Y.
Ta-Von McCall, a 35-year-old man from Selkirk, has been accused of possessing approximately 519 grams of cocaine. The arrest occurred after McCall was stopped for a traffic violation at Broadway and Maiden Lane in Albany, N.Y., around 10:45 a.m. on a Wednesday. Investigators reported finding the cocaine packaged for distribution. In addition to the cocaine, McCall is also accused of possessing over 16 ounces of cannabis. He faces multiple charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of cannabis, and various traffic violations. McCall was arraigned in Albany City Court on the same Wednesday. The traffic stop and subsequent arrest were carried out by the Sheriff's Community Oriented Policing Effort (SCOPE) unit.
