Russian General Survives Assassination Attempt Amidst Rising Tensions
Lieutenant General Vladimir Alexeyev, a senior Russian military officer, was shot multiple times in Moscow in an apparent assassination attempt. Alexeyev, who serves as the deputy head of Russia's military intelligence (GRU), was attacked at a residential building by an unknown assailant who fled the scene. This incident is part of a series of attacks on high-ranking military officials since the onset of the Ukraine conflict. Russian authorities have accused Ukraine of orchestrating these attacks, although no group has claimed responsibility for the attempt on Alexeyev's life.
