Frontier Airlines Plane Strikes and Kills Pedestrian at Denver Airport
A tragic incident occurred at Denver International Airport when a Frontier Airlines plane, preparing for takeoff to Los Angeles, struck and killed a pedestrian on the runway. The collision happened at approximately 11:19 p.m. local time. According to airport authorities, the individual had jumped the perimeter fence and was hit by the aircraft shortly thereafter. The Airbus A321, carrying 224 passengers and seven crew members, reported smoke in the cabin, prompting the pilots to abort the takeoff. Passengers were evacuated via slides as a precaution. The pedestrian, who was not an airport employee, has not been identified. The incident also resulted in minor injuries to 12 people, with five requiring hospital treatment.
