US State Department Expands Passport Application Events Nationwide to Meet High Demand
The U.S. State Department has announced a series of passport acceptance events across the country throughout April. These events aim to provide additional opportunities for individuals to apply for passports in person, especially for those who may find it difficult to visit passport acceptance facilities during regular business hours. The events will be held at various locations, including libraries, post offices, universities, and community centers, spanning more than a dozen states and U.S. territories such as New York, California, Texas, Florida, Illinois, and Puerto Rico. Some events will take place in the evenings and on Saturdays, offering flexibility to applicants. While several events do not require appointments, others do, and applicants are encouraged to check the specific requirements and availability for each location.
