Firefighters Contain Lebanon Mobile Home Fire, Prevent Further Spread
A fast-moving fire erupted in a double-wide mobile home on Hilltop Drive in rural Lebanon, quickly spreading to nearby brush and prompting evacuations. The Lebanon Fire District, along with multiple fire agencies, responded to the incident. Due to the rural location and lack of fire hydrants, additional water tenders were requested. The fire, driven by wind, threatened another structure 500 feet away. Firefighters, facing challenging terrain and extreme heat, managed to stop the fire's forward progress within 20 minutes of arrival. The Oregon Department of Forestry assisted by establishing a fire line around the perimeter. Evacuations were lifted after the immediate threat was controlled, and firefighters remained on scene for mop-up operations. The original mobile home was the only structure lost, and the fire's cause is under investigation.
