Malaysia and Vietnam Strengthen Agricultural Ties with New Agreement
Malaysia and Vietnam have signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation in the agricultural sector, focusing on the agro-food segment. The agreement was signed by Malaysia's Agriculture and Food Security Minister, Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, and Vietnam's Agriculture and Environment Minister, Trịnh Viet Hung, in Hanoi. The partnership aims to ensure competitive and stable rice prices, increase market access for Malaysian products, and promote sustainable fishing practices. The collaboration is part of Malaysia's broader food security agenda and seeks to address global food security challenges exacerbated by climate change and economic instability.
