Indiana Democratic Party Nominates Candidates for Treasurer and Comptroller Roles
The Indiana Democratic Party has announced its candidates for the state’s treasurer and comptroller positions. Jessica Bailey, a two-term Portage County Clerk, is running unopposed for the comptroller position, while Coumba Kebe, a public health executive and founder of Scope Consulting, is the nominee for treasurer. Both candidates are set to be officially nominated at the Indiana Democratic Party Convention on June 6 in Indianapolis. Bailey aims to bring a 'servant leadership' approach to the comptroller role, focusing on transparency and accountability in state financial oversight. Kebe, who previously ran for a state House seat, emphasizes a 'people-centered' approach to managing Indiana’s investments, advocating for transparency and accessibility in how tax dollars are spent.
