Oak Ridge National Laboratory Seeks Research Staff for High-Performance Computing in Neuromorphic Systems
Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is actively recruiting research staff to work at the intersection of high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), and neuromorphic computing. The Learning Systems Group at ORNL focuses on co-designing algorithms and computing systems to tackle complex challenges in science, energy, national security, and health. Researchers in this role will develop scalable algorithms, software, and AI-enabled methods for modeling, simulating, and co-designing spiking neural networks and emerging computing systems. This involves leveraging expertise in distributed computing, machine learning, and architecture search, utilizing leadership-class and exascale systems for evaluation and optimization. The work also includes scientific knowledge discovery, autonomous and energy-efficient systems, threat intelligence and data fusion, agent-based modeling, digital twins, and predictive analysis for environmental and health applications. Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D...
