President Trump Nominates Greg Ibach for USDA Undersecretary for Trade Post
President Trump has nominated Greg Ibach to serve as the USDA Undersecretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs. Ibach previously held the position of Undersecretary for Marketing and Regulatory Programs during President Trump's first term. Ag Secretary Brooke Rollins has endorsed Ibach, citing his leadership and understanding of the agricultural industry and global marketplace. If confirmed by the U.S. Senate, Ibach would succeed Luke Lindberg, who has transitioned to a leadership role with the UN World Food Program. Lindberg is credited by Rollins for his contributions to expanding market access, reducing the trade deficit, and increasing agricultural exports. Before his tenure at the USDA, Ibach served as Nebraska’s longest-serving agriculture director from 2005 to 2017 and is recognized as a fifth-generation farmer and rancher, having been inducted into the Nebraska Hall of Agricultural Achievement.
