Nina Schwalbe Joins Treatment Action Group Board, Bringing Global Health Expertise
Nina Schwalbe, MPH, PhD, a prominent global health leader, has been elected to the Board of Directors of Treatment Action Group (TAG). Schwalbe brings extensive experience in science, policy, advocacy, and equitable access to the organization. She is the founder and president of Spark Street Advisors, a global advisory firm focused on improving public health outcomes. Her career includes senior leadership roles at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and UNICEF, where she served as Principal Advisor and Acting Chief of Health. Notably, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Schwalbe established and directed USAID’s COVID-19 Vaccine Access and Delivery Initiative, a $7 billion program that successfully delivered over 500 million vaccines worldwide. Her expertise spans various critical health areas, including HIV and TB treatment, harm reduction, LGBTQ+ health, TB drug development, and ensuring equitable access to life-saving medicines and vaccines.
