Tractor-Trailer Crashes into NJ Building, Causing Structural Damage and Traffic Disruptions
A tractor-trailer carrying dog food veered off Route 3 in Clifton, New Jersey, and crashed into a building early Monday morning. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m., trapping the driver under a collapsed roof. Emergency personnel extricated the driver, who was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover. The building, home to a limousine company, suffered significant structural damage, with all load-bearing beams compromised. One person inside the building was rescued from the second floor using a ladder. The off-ramp in the area was closed, affecting NJ Transit commuters who use the ramp to catch buses into the city. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
