Mansfield Juneteenth Celebration Expands with New Location and Community Focus
Mansfield's Juneteenth Parade & Festival is set to take place on June 13 at Mansfield Senior High School, marking a move to a new location and an expansion of its lineup. The event will feature a parade, live music, food trucks, a vendor marketplace, and family activities. This year's celebration emphasizes health equity, voter education, economic empowerment, and educational advancement. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. at Arlin Field and conclude at the festival grounds, where a full-scale community event will unfold. The festival will include performances by local artists and community choirs, a health fair, and book signings by local authors. Brigitte Coles, co-founder of We ACT, will serve as the grand marshal of the parade.
