Civil Rights Groups Protest South Carolina Redistricting Proposal at Statehouse
Civil rights groups and activists gathered outside the South Carolina Statehouse to protest a proposed congressional redistricting plan. The redistricting plan has sparked legal challenges, with opponents arguing that it prioritizes political power over public interest. The state's upcoming primary elections could be affected, with potential changes to the election schedule and additional costs estimated at $5-6 million.
