Cao Fei's Multimedia Agriculture Exhibition Opens at Fondazione Prada in Milan
Cao Fei's Dash exhibition has opened at Fondazione Prada in Milan, showcasing a multimedia installation that combines video, photography, virtual reality, documentary footage, and archival material. The exhibition, developed over three years of research across rural regions in China and Southeast Asia, documents the transformation of agriculture through emerging technologies. It features large-scale installations and image-based works that examine automated farming systems, data-driven processes, and changing labor conditions across agricultural landscapes. The exhibition is installed within the Podium at Fondazione Prada's Milan venue, occupying a central exhibition space across multiple levels. It includes constructed environments such as agricultural stations, storage structures, and simulated field conditions integrated with digital interfaces. The exhibition runs from April 9 to September 28, 2026, as part of the institution's annual program of contemporary art presentations.
