Students participate in activities such as researching veteran tributes, interviewing family members, and creating projects that reflect their vision for a future Veterans Memorial.

The students, who took challenging courses including Advanced Placement classes, will wear sashes denoting their valedictorian status during the ceremony. Jericho High School is ranked ninth among New York's best high schools and 108th nationally, according to U.S. News & World Report.
