Evansville Endowment Fund Opens Capital Grants for Nonprofits to Boost Community Projects
The Evansville Endowment Fund is currently accepting letters of inquiry for capital projects aimed at benefiting nonprofits within the city of Evansville. Eligible applicants must be recognized as tax-exempt organizations under specific sections of the Internal Revenue Code. The projects must occur within Evansville, with a requirement that at least 60% of the funding benefits the city's 4th and 6th wards. In 2025, the fund awarded over $560,000 in grants to 21 local nonprofits. Eligible projects include the acquisition, construction, or renovation of facilities for social, community-based, arts, cultural, recreational, neighborhood revitalization, and economic development activities. The deadline for submitting a letter of inquiry is June 3, 2026.
