Milwaukee Man Released from ICE Custody Reunites with Family Amid Green Card Processing
Giovanni Sosa, a Milwaukee resident, has returned home after spending nearly a month in the Dodge County Jail following his arrest by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Sosa was detained as part of a targeted operation focusing on undocumented individuals with criminal records. However, his family disputes this characterization, asserting that Sosa does not fit the profile of a criminal. His arrest occurred while he was in the process of obtaining a green card, according to his immigration attorney. Sosa's detention ended after a federal immigration judge granted his release on bond, allowing him to reunite with his wife and one-year-old child.
