Russian Drone Attack in Romania Injures Two, NATO Scrambles Jets
A Russian drone crashed into a block of flats in Galati, Romania, injuring two people, including a woman with first-degree burns and a 14-year-old boy who suffered a panic attack. The incident prompted NATO to scramble fighter jets in response. The Romanian Defense Ministry confirmed that the drone, originating from Russia, entered Romanian airspace and caused a fire upon impact. Approximately 70 residents were evacuated from the building. This event is part of a series of drone attacks in the region, which have been condemned by EU leaders as attempts by Russia to destabilize democratic societies.
