United Airlines Flight 169 Incident: Plane Wheel Crashes into Bakery Truck on NJ Turnpike
A United Airlines flight, identified as Flight 169, experienced a dramatic incident on the New Jersey Turnpike when a wheel from the aircraft crashed into a bakery truck. The event occurred as the plane was preparing to land in Newark, New Jersey, after a flight from Venice, Italy. The bakery truck, operated by Schmidt Bakery, was traveling northbound when the wheel struck the driver's window. Despite the severity of the incident, the truck driver only suffered minor cuts and is currently receiving medical care. The trailer of the truck remained undamaged. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey have been contacted for further comments on the incident. Chuck Paterakis, a senior executive at H & S Bakery, expressed relief that the situation did not result in more severe injuries, highlighting the fortunate outcome for all involved.
