Ukraine Conducts Secret Space Launches Amidst War, Aims to Counter Russian Missiles
Ukraine has secretly launched two rockets into space using a flying carrier, as revealed by Fedir Venislavskyi, head of the Ukrainian parliament's subcommittee on state security, defense, and defense innovations. These launches were conducted during the ongoing conflict with Russia, with rockets reaching altitudes of 62 and 124 miles, respectively. The initiative aims to establish a network of satellites for surveillance and communications, potentially countering Russian hypersonic missiles. The air-based launch system allows rockets to expend less fuel by avoiding denser atmospheric layers, showcasing Ukraine's innovative approach to space technology.
