Heathco's Pizza & Variety in Auburn, Maine, has reopened its doors just four days after a car crashed through its wall. The incident occurred shortly after 3:25 a.m. on Monday when a car traveling west on Court Street left the roadway and collided with the restaurant. Photos and videos shared by Heathco's depicted a large hole in the wall, debris scattered inside, and a red car within the building. Abigail Chartier, the manager, estimated the damages to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, noting that a destroyed pizza oven alone cost $100,000. The Auburn Police Department identified the driver as Silvirinelth Paulo Da Silva, 21, of Lewiston, who sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported to Central Maine Medical Center before being transferred to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
