Netflix Documentary Highlights Michelle Hadley's Ordeal of Being Falsely Accused
Michelle Hadley, a California woman, is the subject of a new Netflix documentary titled 'A Toxic Love Story,' which explores her wrongful imprisonment after being framed by her ex-boyfriend, Ian Diaz, and his wife, Angela Diaz. In 2016, Hadley was accused of sending threatening emails and soliciting a 'rape fantasy' online, leading to her arrest and a potential life sentence. However, it was later revealed that Angela Diaz had orchestrated the scheme to frame Hadley. After spending 88 days in jail, Hadley was exonerated when evidence showed that the emails originated from Angela Diaz's devices. Angela was sentenced to five years in prison, and Ian Diaz was later convicted for his role in the conspiracy.
