Australian Visitors to Hong Kong Surge, Boosting Tourism Recovery
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has reported a significant increase in Australian visitors to Hong Kong, with a 20% rise in arrivals during the first half of 2026. From January to June, 267,000 Australians visited Hong Kong, with January alone seeing a 32% increase. This growth continues the momentum from late 2025, with April and June also showing strong visitor numbers. The HKTB attributes this rise to Hong Kong's appeal as a destination for world-class dining, shopping, and outdoor experiences, as well as its cultural offerings and unique festivals.
