Ex-convict Robs Domino's in Arizona to Return to Prison, Citing Preference for Incarceration
Dusty Tyrone Porter, a 38-year-old former convict, has been arrested after robbing a Domino's pizza shop in Tucson, Arizona. Porter, who had previously served over seven years in prison for armed robbery, reportedly committed the crime with the intention of being sent back to jail. According to a criminal complaint, Porter held up the pizza joint at gunpoint, stole $300, and then waited to surrender to the police. In court, he expressed his desire to be incarcerated, stating, 'I want to be locked up, I don’t want to be out there.' The gun used in the robbery was later found by police without a magazine, which Porter admitted to discarding at a local convenience store. His girlfriend had reported the gun stolen a day prior to the incident. Porter has been charged with armed robbery and prohibited possession of a firearm, and is being held on a $150,000 bail.
