Hayden Panettiere's On-and-Off Boyfriend Present at Her South Carolina Apartment During Her Death
Hayden Panettiere's on-and-off boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, and his brother, Zach Hickerson, were present at her South Carolina apartment when the actor died over the weekend, according to a police report released Tuesday. A Greenville police officer who responded to the residence on Sunday afternoon was met by the brothers and observed paramedics performing CPR on an unresponsive Panettiere. The report notes that the patient did not appear to have any obvious physical reasons for being unresponsive. After attempting lifesaving measures, emergency workers declared Panettiere dead at 2:31 p.m. No cause of death has been determined, and her death remains under investigation. An autopsy found no signs of trauma, and police stated that officers saw no signs of foul play. Panettiere, who would have turned 37 on Friday, had faced struggles with alcohol addiction and depression throughout her life.
