Animal Control Officers Rescue Abandoned Dogs in Georgia Cemetery
Animal control officers in Georgia responded to a distress call at McWilliams Cemetery, where they found three abandoned dogs. Two of the dogs were emaciated and roaming the cemetery, while a third, named Miracle, was discovered in critical condition inside a drainage pipe. The officers rescued Miracle and took her to a veterinarian for emergency care. The dogs' owners were later identified, and charges of animal cruelty and abandonment have been filed. The Walker County Animal Shelter, which is overcapacity, is urging the public to adopt pets to make room for more animals, especially with the busy kitten season underway.
