Phoenix Woman Arrested After $15 Nail Repair Dispute Escalates to Gunfire at Salon
A Phoenix woman, Essence Mire, 26, was arrested after a dispute over a $15 nail repair escalated into violence at Element Nail Bar. According to police, Mire allegedly punched an employee in the face following an argument about the cost of the repair. After leaving the salon, she reportedly returned with a gun and fired a shot, which struck and shattered the front glass door of the establishment. At the time of the incident, there were 18 people inside the salon, many of whom either fled through the back door or sought cover. Mire was later tracked to her home and admitted to the assault and shooting, stating her intention was to intimidate the salon into fixing her nail for free.
